
Emma C.W. Loy is a Dance Artist and Educator based in Columbia, Tennessee. She trained under Laura Carroll at the Ann Carroll School of Dance, before pursuing a career. Her performance credits include Disneyland Paris as part of the 25th anniversary cast, Violent Delights (New work) Directed by Jim Manning, THAT WOMAN (new work) Directed by Molly Breen, Nashville Pride Festival mainstage, Nashville Oktoberfest, and multiple MTSU dance concerts. She found a passion for teaching, and served as the lead teacher for a local studio for four and a half years. In that time she became certified to teach Progressing ballet and Contemporary Technique and Acrobatic Arts, and became a Youth Protection Advocates in Dance certified teacher. She is currently completing her Bachelor's degree in dance from Middle Tennessee State University. While studying at MTSU, she was awarded an undergraduate research grant to study creative process and choreography at the American Dance Festival. Her most recent work 'a soft place to land' started at the American Dance Festival was fully produced for the MTSU fall dance concert. Her penultimate goal is to make dance education accessible and equitable, with a high standard of excellence.
